I was a designer my sophomore year and had the leadership role of head designer my junior year. I loved pouring my creativity into different types of spreads like features, sports, academics, weekly, and anything in between.

Walkout Spread (Blanc Slate)

Normally, our designers design a spread and then the staff fills it with content. However, because the high school walkout in 2018 was so dependent on how many student participated, our staff got pictures, stories, etc. and I designed the spread off of that. This was a good valuable and strengthened my design experience.

There's No Place Like ____ Feature (Blanc Slate)

This is my favorite spread I've designed. The spread really came together between the concept, theme related design, photography and writing. This spread recieved an honorable mention in the nationally judged Jostens Design Contest.

One More Thing Cover

Designing the cover to our yearbook was one of, if not the biggest, task I had as a designer. After many ideas, we were set on the first picture which was our first draft. We wanted a simple cover with a small pop of color. We loved the idea of black. However, after multiple revisions, we came to a teal cover in the summer at the Jostens Elite Workshop in Chicago. After coming back to school in the fall and regrouping, we all decided to go back with the sleek black cover because it fit our design more.
