My junior year, and third year in yearbook, I was moved up to head designer with two other editors. Our job was to teach the four new designers the principles of design, decide our new colors, fonts, text presets, and everything in between. Gaining the trust of these new designers was something that came naturally because of my reliability, creativity, and ability to give constructive criticism respectfully. This was a tough job to decide what the whole visual feeling of our book would be, but being able to collaborate with the other head designers and experienced editors helped the process. Tasks I was assigned to included, but not limited to, designing our cover, which can be found on the design tab, opening copy, which can be found on the theme development tab, and creating a design template for our new designers to use when creating new spreads.
